Maskr iOS app

The primary purpose of the Maskr app was to give people a fast and simple way to create Maskr aliases. Its secondary function was manage Maskr aliases.

Creating a Maskr alias

There were two scenarios in which people would approach generating a new alias:

1. First time unique email use
People simply enter their email address to get a new alias.

2. Email that was masked before
People will tap on an email address from the "Recent Maskrs" list which then populates the field with their selection to get a new alias.

The generated Maskr alias is automatically copied to the clipboard so people can immediately use it in other apps.

Both use cases only require a 2-step action to achieve its objective.

Managing aliases

Maskr allows multiple aliases to be generated with any one single email address. Aliases using the same email address are listed together in a single management screen.

This is where people can quickly see their list of aliases with attached description notes, and access customisation options, disable or delete aliases, and even blacklist senders.

Customising aliases

Maskr allows people to customise their aliases by:

Renaming alias
A one-time change is allowed for each alias and it’s irreversible.

Adding notes
Notes simply help people remember what an alias is used for. For example, Adding "mailing list" to one that is used for mailing list subscriptions.
